American English

I'm stubborn, so use the (British) English not the American version of spelling things. Though sometimes feel that I might have to translate any words that are British and not American. Am aware of the spellings for things like HTML when doing web pages, the words center and color (not sure if there are any others).

Anyway, I have seen enough American shows and movies to know some of the American words for things, and I sometimes like finding out how words are derived, the etymology (a history of a word, I usually mix it up with entomology, the scientific study of insects for some reason).
